Mission Impossible? I Think Not.

The next time you pull out a college catalog, think about who wrote and compiled it. Just a bunch of middle-aged school officials sitting at a round table with red pens in hand?  Now scratch that, and mentally add a couple of college students to the mix. That’s right. Batesies do too!

For Mission “Bates”, 2 open campus forums for Bobcat agents are scheduled for Tuesday, March 2nd & Wednesday, March 10th for anyone interested in revising the college’s mission statement in Pettengill, room 65.  (Just for fun, want to learn how to write your own?)

According to our current declaration, our school “defines the characteristics of the students it seeks to serve”  and “provides an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of its students”. When it comes to Bates, we don’t simply do homework.  It’s one of the reasons why I applied here early decision! It’s because everyone here is so self-driven for a cause that they truly take time out of their busy schedule to commit to.

To make the point short, simple, and sweet, Mission “Impossible” does not  exist here at Bates- only the mentality to succeed that can break any barrier.

It's a great day to be a bobcat!
